Nexius, Inc. Announces Steve Durante Senior Vice President of Sales: Proven Industry Veteran Bolsters Management Team

HERNDON, VA – Nexius, Inc., a leading provider of products and services for communications providers, announced today that Steve Durante has joined the company’s management team as Senior Vice President of Sales. Durante will be responsible for all sales areas within Nexius that deal with the company’s range of clients. A 25 year sales veteran in high tech software and services, Durante has purposely concentrated on the wireless and telecommunications industries since 1989.

Durante joins Nexius from IBM, where he was Sales Vice President of the Americas for Tivoli Vallent. Prior to that, he had been Vice President for Vallent Worldwide and was instrumental in the selling of Vallent to IBM in 2006. At Vallent, Mr. Durante oversaw sales, network consulting, service delivery, and post-sales engineering and support. Durante was a key contributor to that company’s consistent year over year double digit growth and 90% US market share in Network Performance Management for wireless carriers. Prior to IBM/Vallent, Durante was Sr. Vice President, North America at Marconi Wireless where he was responsible for OSS software, hardware, and services sales to telecom carriers and key enterprise accounts. Durante also has held senior positions at MSI (formerly Metapath Software), Convergys (formerly CBIS), and ITT.
