WiFi Testing Engineer (Technology Strategy)

Key Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Wireless network engineering, Wi-Fi Protocol testing, systems test resulting in the successful delivery of quality WiFi products.
• 5-6 years experience designing, deploying, configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, debugging and administering some of the following: Wireless LAN products and technologies, Wireless Access Points (LWAPP a plus), Wireless Client Associations, Wireless Controllers.
• Experience with LAN switching, Routing protocols, TCP/IP, IGMP, QoS.
• Experience with wireless networking tools.
• Strong IP networking protocol knowledge.
• Experience with Python, TCL-TK, embedded Linux scripting.
• Experience writing procedures, bug descriptions and test reports.
• Deep knowledge of 802.11 protocol both at the physical and MAC layer. Solid working experience with 802.11a/b/g/n standards.
• Experience with rate adaptation algorithms, data path queuing systems, MIMO systems
• WiFi Protocol testing development using industry leading WiFi chipsets
• Debuggers: Trace32, Actel FlashPro3 JTAG, GDB.
• Good Knowledge in wireless network security features 802.11i (WEP, WPA/WPA2, WPA/WPA2-PSK and WPA/WPA2-Enterprise) & Authentication protocols like EAP, PEAP, 802.1x.
• WLAN Security in the areas of authentication, encryption, RADIUS, AAA authentication, EAP, PSK, etc
• Good knowledge in WMM power save (UAPSD) and WPS(Wi-Fi Protected Setup).
