Nexius Appoints Enterprise Software Veteran as New Chief Marketing Officer

HERNDON, VA - Nexius Inc. a leading provider of wireless industry solutions, today announced the appointment of John F. Scott as senior vice president and chief marketing officer, effective July 7, 2008. In this role, Mr. Scott will be responsible for the company’s corporate, product and field marketing initiatives, public relations, and overall promotional strategy, in addition to guiding the product strategy for Nexius’ portfolio of software and service offerings.

Prior to joining Nexius, Mr. Scott served as senior program executive at BMC software, responsible for the marketing efforts to position and launch the company’s service automation solution suite and atrium product portfolio. Mr. Scott joined BMC in July 2007 as part of its acquisition of RealOps, Inc, a leading provider of service and data center automation software, where he served as vice president of marketing and product development from the company’s inception in 2004. Mr. Scott was responsible for providing corporate vision and marketing direction, and managed the development of the company’s product portfolio and go to market activities.

Mr. Scott’s previous positions include vice president of product management and development at NTT/Verio, co-founder and vice president of marketing for SevenSpace, an IT managed services leader acquired by Sun Microsystems, vice president of strategy and business planning with Digex, a pioneer in the managed hosting industry acquired by Verizon Business, and senior consultant for Accenture’s telecommunications industry practice.

Mr. Scott holds bachelor’s degrees in finance and in international business from Georgetown University’s School of Business.
