Greg Alden appointed Chief Operating Officer of Nexius

HERNDON, VA - Nexius Inc. has appointed Greg Alden as Chief Operating Officer, effective March 17th, 2008. In this role, Alden will be responsible for all functional areas within Nexius that deal with the company's range of clients. Alden joins Nexius from Starent Networks, where he was Vice President and General Manager of the Americas and successfully grew the business to more than 80 percent of global revenues in less than three years. Alden was also instrumental in helping Starent Networks go public in June 2007.

At Starent, Alden oversaw sales, network consulting, service delivery, and post-sales engineering and support for the Americas. Prior to Starent, Alden spent more than seven years at Cisco Systems in a variety of roles, among them General Manager of U.S. Mobile Operations, managing sales and service delivery for GSM, CDMA, and alternative wireless operators. He was also part of the original team that formed the company's mobile vertical in the U.S. Prior to Cisco, Greg held sales and management positions at ArrowPoint Communications and Compatible Systems, both subsequently acquired by Cisco.
